VanderbiltUniversity Medical Center TempForce was created to connect diverse, temporary talent to all areas of VUMC.

VUMC TempForce has opportunities at the Monroe Carell Children’s Hospital for a Utility Service Aide. In this role, you will be specifically be responsible for the maintenance, cleaning and sanitation of the kitchen equipment to include pots, pans, utensils and food storage containers. You will set up dish room, assist in setting up food in the Doctor’s lounge, collect and pick up dirty tray carts, bring them to kitchen, break them down empty trash and taking it to compactor.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintains all utility cookingand serving food vessels in a sanitary and serviceable condition.

  • Stores sanitized cookingvessels and utensils to ensure availability for use at beginning of allshifts.

  • Maintains a safe, sanitary andorganized production and storage areas and equipment.

  • Maintains a safe workingenvironment.

Education: High School Diploma or GED (or equivalent experience)

Experience: 1 year relevant experience preferred
